About

I started Dog Cancer Journey after the loss of my three precious fur babies to cancer. Over the last 18 years, I’ve experienced the high costs and the ups and downs of caring for pets with cancer. The saddest part was coming across vets who were unwilling to work with me concerning alternatives to chemotherapy or surgery.

I’ve been in positions where I couldn’t afford veterinary treatment, and on the other end, I’ve had pet insurance to cover the costs of chemotherapy. I understand the struggles of treating pets with cancer, which inspired my journey to find helpful alternatives.

Remember, when a pet is diagnosed with cancer, it isn’t always the end of the road. Dogs, like Sasha, can have a cancerous lump removed and receive vitamin C, antioxidants, and other types of support to live fairly healthy lives. In other cases, pets may have a year or only a few weeks. Regardless, if you want to ease their pain or strengthen their immune systems to fight cancer, there are options available to you.

After countless visits to the vet, including a holistic vet, I researched standard cancer treatments, supplements, CBD, and nutrition. This also included an evaluation of the pros and cons of each approach, from chemotherapy to the dog cancer diet.

Why Choose Dog Cancer Journey

Dog Cancer Journey is a guide for every pet parent who wants to understand treatment options from natural remedies to chemotherapy for cats and dogs with cancer. It is based on personal experience and research into relevant therapies and conditions that affect the health and well-being of our fur companions.

The supplementary and alternative therapies and products discussed on this website have been introduced to my dogs, past and present. Sasha, Ice, and Blueberry received full-spectrum CBD and THC products to help with pain. THC, in particular, helped Sasha sleep through the night during the advanced stages of mast cell cancer.

The information presented on Dog Cancer Journey is not endorsed by a veterinarian and does not involve veterinary advice. It is meant to educate pet parents who are unsure as to which treatments are suitable for their fur babies.

THC, in particular, helped Sasha sleep through the night as the release of histamines from the mast cell cancer caused ongoing restlessness. Blueberry received chemotherapy, vitamin C, and medicinal mushrooms.
